Hope City youth say 'Yeah!'

Hope City Church in Sheffield have just finished recording their first live album, ‘Yeah!’ to be released in a couple of months time. Twelve hundred young people attended the recording, adding their voices to what will be a loud declaration of God’s Praise.

The album contains a mix of old and new material, with Joel Weaver from the Audacious band penning a few songs himself.

Head of the Youth Ministry at Hope City, Glyn Barrett, feels that the album is a “prophetic declaration” of where the youth work at the church is going. He explained that ‘Yeah!’ was written for crowd participation, is intended to be very loud, energising young people to be unashamed of God in their lives.

There have been many amazing stories that have come out of ventures like this, all to show that God’s hand is definitely upon the work. One of the young people who was there on the night gave his life to Jesus for the first time, and there are other amazing testimonies of God’s healing power and the miraculous at work.
