Israel plays a critical role in world and end time events. A nation marked by controversy, criticism, war and division - Israel remains to be a nation in need of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
God is using several Messianic communities to minister to the practical and spiritual needs of the people of Israel. These people are well positioned to reach the nation.
Throughout our denomination there has been growing interest in ministry to the Jews. As a result we are holding our very first Mission Forum focused on Israel. It will be held on Saturday 21 March at Cornerstone Church, Quarry High Street, OX3 8JT, Oxford at 10:00 - 15:00.
There will be a few presenters on the day as well as a time of prayer, discussion and strategic thinking. We have invited Ari Sorko-Ram, Founder, CEO and President of Maoz to be our special guest for the day.
A man of varied backgrounds, Ari played for the French National Rugby team and then signed as a professional football player in the NFL for the St. Louis Cardinals. He went to undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Southern California, studying psychology. He worked in the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department until he became a film actor. He has appeared in over 100 films and TV shows in Israel and the United States, such as Hawaii 5-0, Entebbe, The Finest Hour, and was a lead actor in TV series such as Chips and Sweating Bullets. He left Hollywood to return to Israel, the land of his forefathers, and became an Israeli citizen in 1976. As Messianic Jews, Ari and his wife Shira, are pioneers of the Messianic Jewish movement in Israel.
