“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” (Rom. 1:16)

Israel plays a critical role in world and end time events. While it is a nation marked by controversy, criticism, war and division, it is also a nation in need of the gospel of Jesus Christ. God is at work and there are many wonderful things happening in the Land. Both among Messianic communities and other Christian ministries. These groups are ideally positioned to reach the nation and to minister to the practical and spiritual needs of the people of Israel.

Israel is also a nation with a unique prophetic calling. This Forum provides a great context to explore Mission and to find that special place that Israel occupies in God’s ‘end time’ purpose and plans.

We had a our first Forum meeting back in March. It was a great time and we were thrilled to see so many attend. Our next meeting will take place on September the 5th at Cornerstone Church, Quarry High Street, OX3 8JT, Oxford. We will start the sessions at 10:00am and aim to be finished by 3pm. Following the same pattern as before we will have a morning of ministry, then a provide ‘finger lunch’ and then a session of discussion and prayer.

We are really thrilled that Wayne Hilsden lead pastor of King of Kings Jerusalem will be our guest speaker on the 5th. Originally from Canada and part of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, Wayne and Ann Hilsden have served in Israel since 1983. King of Kings Community is a thriving Christian congregation in the heart of Jerusalem. They have services in both English and Hebrew and are certainly one of the most visited congregations in all of Israel. In 1990 Wayne co-founded Israel College of the Bible. ICB has helped train more than 1000 students over the past 22 years.

This Forum is a wonderful opportunity for you, your Church and members of your team to explore mission partnerships in Israel; to hear about AOG initiatives, tours and programmes in the Land. It is also a great place to Network with like-minded leaders and ministries that have a heart for God’s ‘ancient covenant people.’

As I travel extensively throughout the UK inevitably I have conversations with pastors about leadership, mission and the challenges that come with leading a church. There are several reoccurring statements that are made during these conversations. Here are a few:

"We are not seeing the salvations and baptisms that we use to see"
"I wish had more people willing to be involved in reaching out to the community"
"Our people are not motivated to bring their friends to church"
"We need to review our missions program because I'm not sure our money is still being used to get the best results"
"I want to get our people more involved in missions but I don't know where to start"
"I have a group of passionate young people who want to get involved, what can I do"

The passion of the AOGMission Team is to help churches answer these questions. Our mandate is to see each local church fulfil their unique God given role in the Great Commission.

We have designed a brand new leadership forum called 'M2M - Maintenance to Multiplication' with the aim of answering these questions and more.

M2M is a multi-faceted day of training led by members of the National Leadership Team, AOGMission Team and other practitioners, covering several subjects that revolve around the theme of local church mission. The day is packed with short presentations followed by interaction and collaboration.

Our next Africa Forum is on Sat 31 October! We are privileged to have three influential African leaders with us:

SPECIAL GUESTS:
Rev. Kennedy Maina - President Nairobi Pentecostal Bible College, Kenya
Rev. Joseph Wumbee - Director of AGREDS, Ghana AOG
Rev. Michel Ouadrago - President of Burkina Faso AOG

Momentum is growing in our Africa Forums.

The two most recent Mission Forums held in Cambridge and Stapleford took significant steps forward in formulating jointly owned initiatives. One of which is reaching the remaining seven unreached people groups in the the North of Kenya.

We know many of our churches support projects and missionaries in Africa. This will be a significant day of strengthening partnerships and exploring ways in which we can work together.
